To be quite honest, Lee, this is one of the *few* places where I would make such comments about John. So I make so apologies. He WAS a beautiful man, and the picture- while not my personal favorite- is a great one. Why does it bother you? lol!
God, Lee, you again? I just finished responding to you on the John-and-Julian picture! Lee, if I’m an “obsessive fangirl”, which I guess I probably am, I’m proud of it, and that’s the reason I’m on this website in the first place. If John obsessives annoy you so much, don’t click on his pictures and make obnoxious comments. Honestly, what did you think we (the contigent of obsessives) would be discussing on this photo? You have no right to call me, or Jennifer, or anyone else, out on being obsessive, or to call us annoying.

Um, Julia is fine. Lee started it and don’t think she said anything inappropriate. We were getting along great. I’m not going to pretend otherwise, I love all four Beatles and defend them individually from snide naysayers with no shame. But John Lennon has always been my preference and I am allowed to have a favorite thank you very much.
I don’t know who started it. And Lee’s post seemed unnecessarily rude.
But I do notice that every John photo on this blog — no matter how marginal — gets tons of comments while Paul photos don’t. The silliest photo of John and Yoko during their post-Beatles period gets a load of comments yet any photo of Paul during the Wings period or of Paul with Linda gets 2 or 3 comments. There does seem to be more John fans here than any other kind.
I’ve noticed that too, Louise. It’s not necessarily a bad thing…it’s certainly not the norm, the other fan site I’m on a lot seems mostly to be George fans. I don’t know why many people seem to like John most here.

I don’t get it. It’s a trivial thing, right? Are you really offended over this? I mean, I like Paul a lot. I do. But I happen to love John pics and what may seem silly to you isn’t to others.
How about this Louise: on many of the John posts there are people who discuss his mistakes, his weight, his insecurities, and his motives.
I’m certain that everyone is probably, “Oh how marvelous and gorgeous is our Paul” in the Paul ones so you can’t really be offended. It’s silly to be over something like this.
@Louise: I’m not really sure. I just assumed you were a disgruntled Paul fan who thinks John is inferior and doesn’t deserve a lot of posts. I’m sorry.

John’s eyelashes were heavenly. And very underrated. They deserve some more love, amongst other things.
