HOPE THEY KEPT THE TICKETS:

These would have to be the rarest of Paul tickets, i’ve never seen a single one turn up on ebay for sale.

Are those tickets for the concert that never was?

“The now useless tickets” … love that. Also “Wings, British rock group, whose leader is in trouble” and “they love Paul and Wings, but don’t know about Beatles.”

  3. Leah says:

Love Wings and don’t know the Beatles?!

I wonder what the setlist for the concert was going to be.

$20 bucks to see Paul McCartney! Wow! Those were the good old days….(sigh)…

    Hi Jo,
In 1990 I paid around $30 to see Paul in Tampa, Florida. Had 3rd row center seats. Bought 4 tickets even though I only needed 2 and sold the other 2 for an ungodly sum at the show. And the guy I sold them to for a pretty penny sold them again to someone else for even more. I haven’t seen Paul since but I couldn’t even guess what tickets are going for these days.

$175.00 each for field seats at CitiField Stadium in New York in 2009. My wallet is still burning…It cost us $30.00 just to park there! I have not bought a tourbook or a LEGIT concert shirt since 1993. Just can’t afford everything. The poster that I bought there for $10.00 almost seemed a bargain.

    Hi Mark,

That’s really a change. If I remember correctly, we were GIVEN a very comprehensive tour book which I still have. It really was a “book” as opposed to some kind of flyer. Parking was FREE and even though there were “surcharges/tax” on each ticket, they still came in at under $40 apiece. I also seem to recall it not making a huge difference where you sat – the price spread was not all that much of a big deal. It was more a matter of having to wait several days to get a very good seat (which I did). I think I waited 5 or 6 days to get those seats. I was between semesters when they went on sale so timing worked to my advantage for once! I don’t know that I’d be willing to pay that kind of cake for anyone at this point.

Does anyone out there in Beatleland remember or have the short magazine they gave you when you bought the Anthology sets when they first came out back in the mid 90′s? Still have mine.
