hey! what’s the story with these fans? how come i never sat on paul’s lap???

  2. Jorge says:

Geez George, tell us how you really felt about taking yet another “fan” photo….he must have been woken up for that one

  3. Kwai Chang says:

    “Yes, I don’t speak English”
    (Smile…and move closer)
    It works!

That top picture of John RULES!!!

  4. Alex of the Bronx says:

    God knows where Ringo was………………

  5. mcarp555 says:

Maybe these were “professional” ladies, if you get my drift…

  6. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

They were the local Fan Club presidents – if you define that professional ladies

  7. BLJ says:

Paul like to go bare foot

  8. Kwai Chang says:

They played 2 shows in Hong Kong on June 9.
I thought Ringo might be the cameraman…
No…he was eating lots of ice cream in the hospital in England. On the 11th the group(3 + J.Nicol) would arrive in Australia…Ringo wouldn’t reunite with them until the 14th in Melbourne…
So, maybe Jimmy Nicol is the photographer.
(If not, maybe he is pretending to be Ringo…in a professional way, of course)
Somewhere in Hong Kong is the lucky girl that got to keep ‘Ringo’ company!

they look like regular teenagers – just like my friends and i looked at that time. even their dresses are similar to what we wore. and… why would i want to sit on paul’s lap to begin with? don’t mind me, sometimes i write stuff without thinking. this blog feels so much like “home” i forget there are thousands of people reading it!

  10. Kwai Chang says:

    @Lizzie…
I know why you would have wanted to sit on Paul’s lap!
So you could lull him with your filthy Eastern ways and knick the ring from him…Oops! wrong Ringo. Anyway, you would do anything to get to John… even sit on Paul’s lap. But, no need to worry. That’s why we love you!

About the teenagers…I was born in 1960. I have never allowed myself to progress(chronologically) in the way I look at the Beatles. In other words…I look at them with the same awe that came over me the very first time I saw them. So, it’s strange to know that I am 53 years old but, I still see them with the eyes of a 5 year old. I am serious. I cannot look at Beatle pics without seeing them the way I did then. A picture of them from ’64 or ’65 always looks the same as the first time I saw them. They seem so old and wise and cool and…and, THAT is why I’m still the youngest person I know.
Very trippy…interplanetary remix take 444 is really a drop from the fountain of (Ponce de Leon)…Goo Goo Ga Joob!!!

  11. Lizzie says:

i know what you mean, kwai… when i start telling my beatle stories people say i sound like a teenager, with that same enthusiasm. my friend said i am the eternal teenager: i wonder if that’s a compliment…

  12. Alex of the Bronx says:

Kwaii, we all probably think the same. When you see a pix of the Beatles they look new, the cars and people in the background look dated but not the Beatles. Proves they are timeless. Them and their music.
Convinced people will be listening to both The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix 100 years from now.

  13. J.R. Clark says:

George showing some of that patented warmth again. Why not flash a V-sign while you’re at it, mate?
