There are so many great photos where John is gazing at Paul and others where Paul is gazing at John. What a connection they had. A mutual admiration society (until of course …). But it sure was lovely while it lasted.
They were such good friends and so much like brothers. I’ve read interviews with George Martin that as annoying as John could be to Paul, so could Paul be to John. But at the end of the day, they were inseparable and incredibly protective of one another.
“i like what you’re doing there, george. i like it alot.” — john
Great picture, hes definitely caught in a moment, as if Pauls thinking “my god Im in a band with this amazing guy and the world is ours”!

If a picture says a thousand words, then this one describes the feelings Paul sang of many years later in “Here Today”.
Lovely photo & sentiment.
