    The ‘Fabs” run into ‘Factor’!

Only Catharine and Pauline appear to be wearing eyeliner. I don’t think the eyeliner would go well with Georgina’s unibrow. LOL

Not that there’s anything wrong with that!!!

Looks like an early catalog from The Pleasure Chest in W.Hollywood
    (Paul looks like he’s inflatable…
    where’s the valve stem?)

  6. Jocelyn says:

With that kind of make-up/retouching it’s more like “helllllllooooo sailor”. How embarrassing.

Well, it was “Their New Look at life and love”.
For a short phase in their career they promoted that if boys can wair long hair they sure can wear make-up just as well, right?”.
Someone quickly straightened them out, otherwise Beatlemania might not have become the same phenomen that it happened to become.
Hundreds of screaming, sobbing and generally flipping out pre-teen BOYS chasing after them just doesn`t sound quite the same.

Some of us saw past the make-up Ken :-)

Not sure when the ‘Max Factor’ era ended, but i have photo’s of Paul in Australia in June 1964, and let me tell you, his eyes are done up like he just spent a night at ‘Les Girls’ in Kings Cross Sydney :-)

I’ve always wondered about those shots you refer to, Tammy. It was Paul’s 22nd birthday and it seems he overdid it with the mascara. Funny there’s other shots from that same presscall at the Sheraton where it doesn’t look as severe. Maybe someone had a quiet word?

    John has Julie Newmar beat!
(original Catwoman on Batman 1966 TV Series)
if their pupils weren’t so huge…I might believe it…
