I wonder why Paul doesn’t have his own bass on site…

Hey Tam, I think the photo 5th from the bottom would make a good MRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!
Suitable for framing!
Cool necklace in second from bottom and look at those lashes!!
Swoon
good observation kwai. a friend.
linda pioneered today’s ‘show your underwear’ fashion all those years ago…
Beatlemark, you could be right, tho the stance, and the fact Paul is probably doing a full ‘fruit bowl’, i’m just not sure of the exact toneality, with all those added sonic distorting factors thrown into the mix.
Kwai, that might be Paul’s bass. He also used a sunburst right-handed Fender Jazz Bass for the Band on the Run sessions in Lagos. This could be the same bass. Perhaps after having his original Höfner stolen ca. 1969, he became more selective about what he took to less secure locations.
@Beatle 55…
@ Jocelyn…
thanks for the back-up…
little details that don’t matter are my favorite beatle things…
(ask A Car about Paul’s chipped tooth)
@jim…
Linda’s fashion was called “delta-9THC”

(Tammy…stop being funnier than me…sister)
Tammy, great photos and the use of the ‘Listen To What The Man Said’ intro as the headline!
@Ishie…
is that Paul doing Wolfman Jack???(intro)
That’s the impression that I had when I first heard it.
I’m from New Orleans and lived in the burbs (Terrytown) then. I was 15 and a friend called saying “Paul McCartney’s in Terrytown”. Heather was supposedly with Paul visiting one of her friends. We hauled ass on our bicycles to the supposed address and were told “the limo just left, you missed him”. Ah well, does anyone know if this is ‘urban teenage myth’ or true?
@David…
keep looking…
you’re getting warmer
Paul looks so slim here, especially in the one with heather.
David,
I’m from N.O., altho not Terrytown. Have never heard that story. It doesn’t seem real likely tho, does it – how would Heather know anyone in Terrytown? (no slight to Terrytown intended)
Susan, have you seen the New Orleans pics on next page? Someone knew somebody in the ‘burbs…
^^
yes, I saw them, but they look like they were taken at SeaSaint, which is not in the suburbs. Clematis street is actually not too far from the French Quarter. Terrytown is across the river.
Another reason to think that story may be just an urban legend – Paul was driving himself around in a white Oldsmobile, not in a limosine. My husband’s cousins lived on Carol Sue – I’ll ask them next time I see them if they know anything about this story.
