    A rarity…
    no talisman necklace
(it might be underneath the tie)

  2. Don Percy says:

Harold…because that’s the look he gives the camera (2 years earlier-ish) when admonishing Prime Minister Harold Wilson…?

  3. Since 1963 says:

And, Don, years before that in ’63 when he stated, with the exact same look, “We’re not gonna vote for Ted.”

Was it Ted or Harold? .. Datey?

I thought the “Harold” ref was because you thought he was looking like old man Steptoe. The ’63 comment in an ITN interview, “we’re not going to vote for Ted” was John’s reaction to future Conservative PM Ted Heath’s comment that he didn’t think the Beatles spoke the Queen’s English; the ’64 “sorry about that, Harold” was at the Variety Club luncheon after John’s “thanks for the Purple Hearts” quip when they received their Silver Hearts awards for being Top Show Biz Personalities of 1963

  6. Tammy says:

No, my mix up, it was ‘Ted’ :-)

And Kieth Richards lurking in the background
