HAPPY FAMILY AT JULIANS PHOTO EXHIBITION:

No matter how sincere the lovin’ is between Cyn and Yoko, it’s nice to see the family together and extending the hand of love and friendship is a nice thing to see, it’s one thing to talk peace and love, it’s another to put it in to practice and at least try to get along.

    One big happy family.

  3. Ishie says:

Amazing & heart-rendering photos … I viewed several other photos from Julian’s exhibtion on the Morrison Gallery site. Seeing John’s boys and wives together is really something. I can only imagine how powerful it must have been to see them together, in person at the exhibtion premiere.
I was in NYC on Saturday and went to the gallery to see Julian’s work and they have a beautiful and personal feel to them. There are some great images of Sean as well as U2, Kate Hudson and breathtaking landscapes. If anyone is in the area, it’s well worth the visit!

  4. Lizzie Bravo says:

I was quite touched by those photos, especially the one of Yoko and Cyn.

  5. connie says:

I’m glad they got together for Julian.

Nice photos and a happy and unexpected scene . Having just read Cynthia Lennon’s book “John” and being touched by it, I’m glad to see they left the bitter part aside and got together for this exhibition.
Because of that book, that I wrongly reviewed, I had an argument with someone I care and respect so much. I screwed it up and never had a chance to say I’m sorry. So if you’re reading this, please forgive me.

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my GOSH!! Is this real!? WOW!

It’s great that they all are getting along now! (or so it seems) Sean is acting silly in these pics, which I like! I’ve seen loads of pics of him without any expression, so.. =D

  9. Astrid says:

Sean looks more like Yoko the older he gets. And Julian is still more like John, although there is a lot of Cynthia in his features.

Glad to see them all together, no matter how sincerer this friendship is. John would have been happy to see them like this….and I am sure wherever he is now, he smiled.

Another_fan I feel you! The picture with Yoko and Cynthia embracing, well let’s just say that I call that photo “When Hell Froze Over”. I would have never expected those two to hug each other ever! Maybe a handshake but never a hug!

Pattie Boyd and May Pang also attended the event. I would love to see photos of Cynthia, May, Pattie, and Yoko together, especially Cynthia and Pattie as they are old-long-time friends (and Pattie with Julian).

  11. Sam says:

Love, love, love these. Give peace a chance, indeed.

  12. Jennifer says:

I loved seeing these sweet pictures again, thanks for posting them. I also wholeheartedly agree with what you said. : )

  13. Susan says:

I see John in both of his sons, and it breaks my hear that he isn’t here to see his two Lennon men.

    @beatle55

    So sad, yet so true.

  16. John says:

OMG Sean needs to brush his hair!

Still nice to see the Lennon family supporting each other.

  17. Chris says:

Too bad the lovely warm hearted May Pang was not photographed with them. She is such a sweetheart and deserved to be in these photos.

  18. Jocelyn says:

Great photos. Sean’s mugging loses its cuteness rather quickly – he’s almost 35.

In the third photo, Julian has a look on his face like “Sorry, but he is my half-brother”.

  19. Mark H. Zappasodi says:

This is the first time that I have seen all four of them together since August 1989. Cue the photos Gregory…

  20. kavada says:

They are all the part of the Beatles family!

  21. Chris says:

Who is the guy in the denim jacket to Julian’s left in the first photo? I first thought it was Denny Lane but realized it’s not.

  22. Jeannette says:

Chris, that’s Mick Rock, a photographer

  23. Jo says:

John must be really happy to see all of his family finally getting along…

  24. A Keebler Elf says:

Jo, it’s a photo op. To assume they’re really getting along is a huge leap. Agreed with Chris; it would have been nice to see May in there as well. Cyn and May got along quite well.

  25. stephanie says:

To “A Keebler Elf” , last post, i disagree. There is no “assumption” they are getting along just for a photo op, its genuine and real. All of the above four were at the “Love” premiere in 2006. Old animosity between Julian and Yoko , made public in about 1998, were healed many years ago. Sean and Julian have always been close. Harmonious relations amongst the Beatles family have pretty much been a feature since the mid 90s, time of Anthology, if not before.

  26. Ishie says:

Let’s just say this, they have a commonality … they all love(d) John, were a part of his life & they joined together to lend their support & encouragement to his son Julian’s first photo exhibition. Regardless of what the scenarios and situations were before, and/or are now, for one evening the Morrison Hotel Gallery was the “House of Lennon” and how very wonderful it was!

  27. jan says:

Cynthia still looks so beautiful. I’m glad she is happy in her new marriage to Noel Charles. She deserves it.
p.s. Sean, you are a sillyhead!

  28. A Keebler Elf says:

Hi Stephanie. Then I guess we’d have to disregard Paul’s comments on Howard Stern regarding Yoko (and Julian’s too). I think they’ve gotten better at making good in public. The underlying differences (i.e. dislike) are still there. George went to his grave disliking Ono, and she has since revised George’s comments regarding John’s intro into heroin. Julian still has to purchase his dad’s stuff at auction as Yoko would rather make money off it then give it to a rightful heir. And I haven’t even touched upon the whole McCartney-Lennon vs. Lennon-McCartney thing. Ono made some incendiary comments about Paul during that debacle. Regardless how you feel, they certainly don’t paint a picture of harmony, and they’re all post ’98.
Having said that, making a good public show is better than nothing and is an improvement over the past.

  29. CindyB says:

Why does Yoko have to show off her boobs in photos? The woman is in her 70’s!!!!!!. I guess she is okay, but Cyn will always be special. I loved her books she wrote about John. I always felt sorry for her, but I guess she is more forgiving than I would have been!!!

  30. jimmmmybrady says:

    God bless Cynthia!!

  31. derek says:

Make dramatic statement. Then say: love, a friend.

  32. ralphingo says:

Might be me, but i don’t see the love between Cyn and Yoko! I can feel a certain tension in the room!
