Who’s Don Nix never heard of the guy
The wonders of Wikipedia, Joy:
Lemmy – Motorhead
Submarine – Yellow
Don Nix is a musician. He was a part of Leon Russell’s Shelter Records gang and played guitar & sang on George’s Concert for Bangladesh.
Wonder what’s with the (not yellow) submarine in the background?
I was wondering about that too
There’s another pic from this occasion in George’s I Me Mine book. He went on some kind of boating holiday with Nix to unwind after the Bangla Desh concert – can’t remember where, though I believe the caption in IMM states it.
George looks a bit like Che Guevara on this one hahaha…
It was Catalina Island A Car
Here, get to know Don Nix in this interview. He tells the story about this picture. He also wrote “Going Down” that Jeff Beck and about 100 other artist recorded. https://soundcloud.com/mitchmccracken/memphis-music-inner-view-show
