Paul and Yoko attend the opening of an exhibition of Linda’s photograph’s in New York, June 23 2011. Looks like someone has been playing with Catherine’s make up, and it isn’t Yoko :-)

    great photo!

Since when did Paul & Yoko ever set foot together in a recording studio? Especially to make music together? Excepting back in 1968-69 when John dragged her into the studio during the recordings of the White Album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road, which irritated the other Fabs big time.

  10. A different Jennifer says:

Ah, they’re totally looking at a picture of John.

  11. yesiamize says:

They recorded a track together “Hiroshima Sky is always blue”

how the hell do you know that jenn? the photo does not show it.
well I suppose the dream is not over for some beatles out there.

several comments above are ignorant, unfunny, and stupid.

True fans, who care about these things, know that Paul and Yoko, and the entire Beatles family, are all close and considered family to each other. Any differences they had were settled many, many years ago. Tammy has provided ample evidence of this over many years of Blogging.

Saddens me that some so called fans, can’t display the goodwill, peace and love that the Beatles family embody and embrace today.

  15. hey you says:

It was only a joke. I don’t think they hate each other. I can’t vouch for the other comments though. I stand by mine.

  16. John S. Damm says:

It is a very nice photo but I disagree with Stephanie about what “true Fans” are and that “any” differences were settled “many, many years ago.” Why then isn’t “Let It Be” out on dvd in the gloriously restored format we saw on Anthology? I suspect that there are still heated or at least uncomfortable moments at Apple Board meetings.

The Beatles were about goodwill, peace and love but also cheeky humor. Fun is allowed for sure. Remember fan is short for fanatic so if I am not a true fan I won’t lose any sleep! :)

  17. Peter Hodgson says:

Yesiamize, Yes, Paul and Yoko along with all children (except Julian and Heather) recorded at Paul’s home studio in March 1995.
I know it was this time as Paul told me that they had been in the studio the previous week, when I visited him at his studio in March 1995.
I can still remember Paul telling me that Sean spent a lot of time playing The Spinet ( The Harpsichord sounding instrument thet John played at the beginning of Because on Abbey Road )

  18. Alison says:

If you look on Paul’s site you can see lots of pictures from the exhibition opening and from that you can see that they are looking at a picture of John & Paul. The well known one where Paul is wearing the polo neck jumper and looking down with a big grin and John is on the right of the photo in denim looking at him.

..stephanie have a sense of humour chuck!personally I think Yoko and Paul must get on fine enough, hes a decent sort Paul and Yoko has a strength about her that would ensure she wouldnt want to be so unfriendly to Johns old buddy, Ive heard Paul describe the relationship and yoko too as distant sort of relatives, he never says they are close and who would expect that anyway, hes got his won life and so has she, anyway I always find it amusing to have a laugh at how they might communicate, lets face it there must be some laughs between them too!

  20. stephanie says:

    nice updated Photos Tammy !!!

@James. agree with some of your points. Assure you I can laugh like the best of them, if something is actually funny.

These comments aren’t a personal attack on you. I had in mind certain other posters here and recently.

Your impression about Paul and Yoko being like “distant relatives” is out of date. Its not true. (mm, a Paul B side).

Yes, Paul did say that in an interview, over ten years ago, but that is ancient history.

Relationships don’t stay frozen in time !

My point is that since the Beatles/Beatles families resolved differences and feuds long ago, then certain small number of fans should do the same re the Paul v Yoko “thing”.

Miss Tammy has provided, through this most wonderful Blog, for almost 6 years, countless evidence of the closeness and interaction, and mutual support, between the Beatles family

Yoko recently Twittered “Paul is family”. See 16th june Blog

Yes the whole world knows they had their feuds and differences in the past.

    Ancient history

Seems unfunny , pointless , & a bit mean spirited, for some to suggest ongoing “disharmony” or “discord” or “antipathy”, or “feud”, or even to make “jokes” about it, when none of that exists !

The things I find funny have some element of truth, or while poking fun of an absurdity. Theres nothing remotely truthfull about Paul v Yoko “feud”. That’s why its so inherently unfunny.

As a long term (since 1980) fan (as Im sure majority of fans agree) I’m so happy and thrilled that love and peace reigns over the Beatles family.

    So I say, C’mon People !! Move on , its 2011

The most important thing for me: the beautiful and wondrous music !!!

  21. yesiamize says:

I think it’s mainly Paul who’s the peacemaker of the two. Yoko did a lot to hurt Paul’s reputation in the past. It’s nice she’s mellowing now.

  22. d- says:

FYI, Yoko posted on her Web site a wonderful “article” promoting the exhibit of Linda McCartney’s photography that’s open now in New York. Here’s the link:

And Yoko wrote this message: “As women artists, we were branches of the same tree called INVISIBLE. Linda, it’s so nice to see your work being exhibited right in the center of New York City now. Each work shows your incredible sensitivity as a first rate photographer of our time. Thank you, Linda, for still giving us such beautiful experiences with your work. I miss you.”

What a generous thing to do. Way to go, Yoko.

  23. stephanie says:

the last photo above is beautiful. Paul looks amazing. Happy (belated) 69th Paul !

What makes this such an a-ha pause on this blog to me is…I wonder what the conversation was as to what each was actually thinking. Yoko is looking wistfully at John’s photograph in several of these shots and I can’t help but feel she is reminiscing for her beloved John. As far as family, I feel that all four are somehow distant relatives to me. I’ve known them since I was seven and first saw them that blustery February night on the Sullivan show. They were in my childhood, in my young adult years and have followed me into later life. I will take them with me in my heart to my grave. Call me a fanatic if you will. I will wear that badge proudly. They (The Beatles) have taught me love, music, friendship, spirituality and yes mind expansion (with and without the drugs). They have been the kindly, talented distant uncles I have never met, but have heard so much about. They have been my spiritual guides in this life. I am proud to say that.

If you find this a bit off putting to your sensibilities, I ask you…who is your spiritual guide and how have they touched/changed your life? We’re not so different. God Bless the Fab 4…John, George…journey on, Ringo, Paul God bless yo and keep you. Peace to all, till we all meet again.

I think all the bull* stayed in the past and they realised it. There are still ‘beatle’ events going on and it’s a chance they get together. I believe they feel good about it. You can’t be bitter forever.
By the way, the photos are lovely.
    Thanks Tammy!!

  26. Jennifer says:

Thank you very much for sharing these, I’ve never seen the first two before. : )

  27. Mark says:

Wouldn’t you just love to have one of these huge prints hanging on your wall?!?

    Er, yes it does.

  29. Jo says:

C3BlueNote- Thank you for your eloquent words. I thought I was the only one who felt that the Fabs were part of “my family”. Like you, they have been with me through thick and thin. Their impact on my life is incalculable. They will always be “my boys” and everyone who knows me knows it!

  30. Ishie says:

The size of the prints are incredible. Linda shots are candid … personal. She, with the click of a button, gave us a glimpse into the lives of the Beatles and captured the essence of the Lennon-McCartney relationship like no other photographer has. The love and friendship they had for one another is there … in black & white … for all to see & feel!

  31. MarkZapp says:

Great to see Lennon & McCartney together again. The last photo put a tear in my eye.
