is there a 7-11 store near abbey road?
(where do the fans eat?)
there was virtually nothing in the late 60’s, kwai. we had to rush to the vending machines at the st. john’s wood station or go to what we called “the buffet” also at the station. i remember having cheese and tomato sandwiches. but at some point they wouldn’t allow us in there anymore. i guess we were a little loud… but all these closed down at a certain time. after that it was being hungry, thirsty and no bathroom…
i wonder if these photos were taken by george tebbens? i think i have some from him that are similar to these. have to look for them some day.
Thank you, Lizzie…
sounds a little inconvenient for a californian…
(the ‘strip-mall’ ruined everything…max profit…min sq. footage)
Lizzie, I probably missed it somewhere here, but were you an Apple Scruff?
yes i was, susan. since the scruffs only came about in the 2nd half of 1969, before that the fans who waited outside paul’s house, the studios or wherever else they might be didn’t have a formal name, though i vaguely remember us mentioning the name “union”.
Lizzie, did you know you and Gayleen are on the Beatles’ Wiki page for the song you sang backup on? Your names redirect to a page on Apple scruffs.
no i didn’t, debjorgo. i don’t know the beatles’ wiki, will look for it – thanks!
Lizzie, We are going to make you a star.
Very, Very cool debjorgo !!
