there was virtually nothing in the late 60′s, kwai. we had to rush to the vending machines at the st. john’s wood station or go to what we called “the buffet” also at the station. i remember having cheese and tomato sandwiches. but at some point they wouldn’t allow us in there anymore. i guess we were a little loud… but all these closed down at a certain time. after that it was being hungry, thirsty and no bathroom…
yes i was, susan. since the scruffs only came about in the 2nd half of 1969, before that the fans who waited outside paul’s house, the studios or wherever else they might be didn’t have a formal name, though i vaguely remember us mentioning the name “union”.
is there a 7-11 store near abbey road?

i wonder if these photos were taken by george tebbens? i think i have some from him that are similar to these. have to look for them some day.
