Yay! The Beatles and Stones! I love both bands, and hate the old VS rumor! They were actually good friends! Great pics!
The fan pic of Mick, John & Cynthia was taken the morning of 21 May 1966 in Portobello Market, London (Mick’s then girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton has been cropped out of the picture – the two couples had been at an all-night party); the pic of Mick and Paul was taken at Decca Studios during a Marianne Faithfull session in May 1967 (she was recording an unreleased version of When I’m 64 with Mike Leander – who did the score for She’s Leaving Home); Ronnie and Mick with Macca was taken at the Buddy Holly Week concert at the Kilburn Gaumont, London, September 1977; the one of George and Mick was taken backstage at the LA Forum when the Stones played there in July 1975.
Datey, once again i bow before you, love your work.
In the last one George really looks like a cardboard cutout.
3 Beatles taller than Mick Jagger? That clinches it,as Mick was the tallest Stone, the Beatles were bigger than the Rollin’ Stones.
