Great Lennon expression:)
Look at his face!!! Cuteness.
Funniest eyes i’ve ever seen in a John photo. He looks like I probably do fumbling with my keys. XD
This picture is incredibly important to me – I learned guitar at 14 listening to Let it Be and having a Mel Bay’s Guitar Chords book. I only had an acoustic guitar, a Martin knock-off and I learned early on that I could get a great amplified sound by doing this exact thing, pushing my right ear into the side of the guitar. I did that for years, and to see John doing this is just awesome.
They leaned their heads to the body of their guitars also to tune, as they did not have electronic tuners like we have today. Hence, when the ambient was noisy, like that of a studio where everybody is noodling and warming up, they had to lean their ears to the body of the guitar to hear the guitar and be able to tune it.
John playing it by ear.
