Does anyone know if this photo is from when JL was on WNEW FM in N.Y. It was fall of 1974 when Walls and Bridges came out and this looks like the same period. I remember there was a club around here in the NY Metro area called ” A Joint in the woods” and JL did an add for them on the radio stating there is nothing better then a joint in the woods then he states I better stop or there goes my green card. He was really funny that whole afternoon . It was great. This was also the same time period when he walked out on Monday Night Football during a Ram game in LA. with Howard Cosell. Then he did the Garden with Elton John.
It was great having him all over like that.
OK Thanks Car.
They ere almost the same time maybe 6 months difference then. I remember the Muni interview. I believe Scott practically mentioned that interview every day for the rest of his life. I would also.
Thanks again
Kwai with the sharp eye – it is indeed. That album was released in Aug ’74 whcih made me rethink if this was from the ’74 WNEW interview with Dennis Elsas as Alex suggested. However, the calendar next to John has 28 numbers – so I’m sticking with my original Muni theory.
Another photo first for me … great shot of DJ John!
Wonderful picture! : ) I also like the caption you made for it, too cute and funny. : )

Okay Car…
Jiu Jitsu or Aikido…
(you are a master of one of them)
….in ’75, he lost the sideburns (See “Tomorrow” interview with Tom Snyder) … this is either late ’74 or very early ’75 Cheers
You do realize, we are all out of our minds, but it is cool.
