Thank you for the most famous picture of Lennon – from the Let it be sessisons.

  6. winston oboogie says:

That´s NOT from the Toronto Festival. It´s from the Let It Be rehearsals, at Twickenham film studios, in january 1969.

I always loved this photograph in wondered about the story behind it. Picture on actually pose for this photograph? If you did that is quite a pose. Or, was this photograph taken during john’s performance on let it be? Either way it’s a fantastic photographs and I always wanted a huge poster of this on my wall. And winston is correct. This photograph taken chaundel in the sessions not the toronto festival concert. John’s beard was much larger by the time that concert took place. This photograph looks to be taken around time by daft yoko’s miscarriage.

John was one of the most dynamic subjects a photographer could capture on film in my opinion, its as if his soul shone through in performance, he gave so much when playing..even rehearsing!

  9. Vince says:

Great pic of John, I was never sure if it was taken from the Let it Be sessions or a session held a month later. By the way, Tammy would you or someone else on here recommend a real friendly Beatles forum that really welcomes newcomers. There’s a forum I which basically has six hardcore female members. Let’s say I feel like the odd man out. Appreciate any info:)

@Kwai, just Google Steve Hoffman forums, then call me in six months when you get out of therer, audiophiles, and top end fans, more about the music, less about the bulges and ball sweat .. which DOES have its place.
