1. GLCompany says:

I can’t figure out if it is backstage at the charity Unicef, at the Lyceum Ballroom London at December 15th 1969. George is wearing that same cap here or it is during the December 02-07 Delaney Tour UK.
    Who helps out?

  2. Michael says:

Wow! Thank you! Such a great pic!

  3. Jorge says:

    And Eric is keeping time

  4. Kwai Chang says:

How did George stay clean with all that Eric around?

  5. mcarp555 says:

George and ‘Bert Weedon’, that is.

  6. Ooooh!!, I never thought of the UNICEF gig :-/

  7. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

It’s not the UNICEF gig – the backstage at Lyceum Ballroom looks different. These were taken somewhere on the D&B tour

  8. Vitaliy says:

Judging by George’s clothes I think it goes with this one:
Unfortunately I don’t have the date.

  9. GLCompany says:

Great find! Thanks for sharing the Link

  10. GLCompany says:

Found the Date, it’s Bonnie & Friends with Eric Clapton and George Harrison, Stockholms Konserthus, 13 December 1969

  11. Kwai Chang says:

How awesome that Derek &The Dominoes is really the band…plus George.
That is heavenly. I could even tolerate Delaney and Bonnie for that show. Was this about to hit the wall and leave the wreckage known as the Layla album?
What I mean is…WHERE IS PATTIE?

  12. Vitaliy says:

Wow, great new pics! Thanks! But… wait a minute. Neither Mark Lewisohn in his “Complete Beatles Chronicle”, nor (in fact nobody) has any mentionings about such a concert. According to them Bonnie & Friends with Eric Clapton and George Harrison played only in Denmark and never went to Stockholms Konserthus or Sweden.

  13. GLCompany says:

In fact their Tour went on up to December 15th where they joined in with John and Yoko for Unicef

  14. Vitaliy says:

Let me ask you, where does this information come from?
    And what about the 14th?

10-12 December – Falkoner Theater in Copenhagen (Lewisohn mentions it).
13 December – Stockholms Konserthus (so far I haven’t found any mentioning about this one except yours).
    14 December – ??? (day off maybe).
15 December – London Unicef concert.

  15. Paul H. says:

    Hi GLCompany –

I wrote a comment about the “smoke screen acetate” pic, but I suspect it’s been to late to catch everyone’s attention –
so is there any chance of you having a look and letting me know what you think?
    Many thanks.

  16. GLCompany says:

@Vitaliy on May 22 I posted several links where the info can be found, unfortunately it now is gone.
There is Footage of George and Mal arriving in Stockholm at December 11, you can find that on the Beatles on DVD site easily

  17. BLJ says:

According to the date, George was still a Beatle when he did the show with Bonnie and friends. I never knew, how interesting.

  18. Vitaliy says:

Yeah, I saw it. But I think the date and venue were stated wrong and those photos were taken sometime before 12 December. Otherwise why there is no mentionings about Stockholms Konserthus in any Beatles history book?

  19. GLCompany says:

Why would George fly to Stockholm, if he was performing in Copenhagen that Day??
New facts and Photo’s about The Beatles are found now and then, so why would this be not one of them?
Some People claim that they only performed two shows one one night in Copenhagen, others say they were there 3 nights?
    We should ask Eric………:)

  20. Vitaliy says:

Well, maybe you are right. But I think Eric is the last person to remember the exact dates of that tour. :O)

  21. GLCompany says:

Haha, that could be very right… you could check this one though

  22. Vitaliy says:

So we have 12 December, not 13 December for Stockholms Konserthus concert, right?
    Thanks for your help!
By the way, if you are interested, I have collected many photographs from that Delaney & Bonnie tour here:

  23. GLCompany says:

    Thank you for this Link!
What we have is another confusing date. Several say 13, one says 12.
12 December is the Date George is filmed on Stockholm Airport, so that could be the one?
For me it is almost certain that they did not play 3 nights in Copenhagen, do you agree?

  24. Kwai Chang says:

Excellent…(don’t ask Eric to remember anything)

  25. Vitaliy says:

Strictly speaking I don’t see, why they couldn’t play 3 nights in Copenhagen.
