I’ll go out on a limb and say that this is from ’66. Why? Vox Super Beatle amps, Rickenbacker 4001S, Gibson Les Paul SG.
Correct me if you like; I don’t have issues with being wrong.
Yeah I noticed those backup guitars too in the mess around Ringo…
Looks like vocals & whatever few other mics used are being fed to an unseen “house P.A.” Given the size of the venue, I can only imagine the horrible audio mix the band had to deal with on stage. No wonder they quit touring.
International Amphitheater, Chicago, 12th August 1966.
International Amphitheatre is the correct name.
Less than 3 weeks before quitting. Good call Jocelyn!
I thought it was 66, but the original caption said 65, i went with that, but yeh, deffo 66.
Thanks, Pete and Henry.
@Pete; Yes, that is a bit of a mess around Ringo, isn’t it? Makes me nervous just thinking about what could’ve happened.
Ringo: “Mal? How do I get out of… CRRRRRUNCH!”
did they ever use the piano on the right side??
