The last one looks like Rubber Soul outtake (back cover)…
Rah rah rah for Robert Freeman!!!
(Once again, bottom picture)
Or…is this the picture Klaus used for his line drawing on the Revolver cover?
Either way…it’s a great album cover. I just wonder what kind of cover Klaus would have done if they had kept the name ‘Abracadabra’. As their 7th LP, that would have been a pretty good title. But, Klaus did a great job…I just wonder if they gave him ANY instruction, idea, description, guidance about what they had in mind for Revolver. I think the title is pretty clever…so what kind of message should the artwork send? How about ‘The Beatles are into their own heads’? The music is of a new variety(heady?)…all records might actually be ‘revolvers’…but, they’re not all ‘heady’ like this one is.
So, good job, Klaus!
Hence, I think this might be THAT picture. It looks like all of Klaus’ selections were supplied by Robert Freeman.
Is this a Freeman picture?
Any HELP is appreciated.
I just found the uncropped color version of the bottom picture elsewhere on this blog. Apparently, the photographer is Jean-Marie Perier.
Well, it still might be the picture Klaus used for Revolver cover.
