Haha I read that he used to actually watch their butts move in order to figure out whether everyone was on beat and together, since they couldn’t hear anything.
Actually, he didn’t mention their “butts” but their boots.
This is what happened whenever John lost a contact lens during a show!
He said their “bums”.
