Gorgeous pics! I love black and white photos almost more than the color ones, because the b and w have something so magical and “retro” inside, you can focus on the object and you aren´t distracted by a lot of colours.
Love the one with Paul and the children, the smiling Georgie and also the ones with Johnny and with Brian. That young lady looks like Brian´s secretary- I think I have seen her in the “The first US visit” DVD, if I´m not wrong.
Yes, Georgiesflower, the late Wendy Hanson.
Datey, didnt she end up living in Australia?, she passed away after an accident or a fall?.
I don’t think she lived in Australia – she was living in Spain at the time of her death – and yes, I believe it was a fall.
Okay Datey, but i’m sure one of the secretaries ended up living here, there was Wendy and .. who was the other one?, or maybe Wendy had lived here and moved?
Oh, Tammy, you mean Joanne Newfield, the last secretary Brian had. She also worked for Robert Stigwood which is how she met the Bee Gees drummer Colin Peterson – the “Smiley” actor – they married and moved to Australia. I think she is still living out there. She was interviewed for the BBC Arena documentary on Brian back around 1997 and actually went back to 34 Chapel Street, Belgravia where she worked for him and recalled how his death was discovered. Incidentally, this week a blue plaque was unveiled by Cilla Black at 13 Monmouth Street – the site of Brian’s first London office.
