That was actually from 1970 when John was waiting for Phil Spector to come out and produce Plastic Uno Band. Heput out and Ad because no one knew where Phil Spector was.

Hi – This is a photo I took of the ad in a Billboard magazine a few weeks ago. It comes from one of my eBay listings, item number 360274040045 . I offer loads of Beatles related vintage publications from the sixties each and every week under the eBay seller id loufar4. Just thought I’d claim credit for my photo and invite you to browse through my listings, in which I always feature the most rare and interesting Beatles photos to share with other fans. Great site! All the best, Louis Farace
Wow! Interesting ad! I wonder how much this ad would be worth if a person had it… imagine if it was autographed by John and Phil?
Tammy, do you know what font that is? Would like to replicate it to send to various bandmates…

Hey Davey, not being a fontist i’m not sure what it is, so .. anyone out there have an idea??
I thought it came from 73 ie Rockn Roll when Phil S was sidetracked by the “John Dean tapes”ie Watergate?
It looks like one of the Arial family of fonts with the width condensed 10%.
