This photo always cracked me up. I love how George poses. He makes the photo. This is for a Japanese magazine. They shot this during the Fool On The Hill session. It’s at this session that the first photo of John and Yoko was taken.
Alex, not almost. It was the cover of OR-1838 Hello Goodbye / I Am The Walrus, released in Japan. Photo taken by Koh Hasebe, one of my favorite Rock photographers on September 25th, 1967, when they mixed “Fool On The Hill” resulting in the “Rumi tape” (Rumiko Hoshika was the name of the interviewing journalist) & first photo of Jok & Yono together…
This was almost the Hello Goodbye/I am The Walrus 45 sleeve somewhere in the world.
Another great photo that should be issued as a poster.
from the fool on the hill sessions. check out the nemsworld website.
Hey I have that beatleg!
from pepper to salt
psychedelic satin to square sweaters
(knit knit ga joob)
Darn it, from the caption I was expecting a lovely picture of sleeping John, not terrifying sweaters. : /
