It was taken by Bill Francis in October 1964 as part of a photo session for Fabulous magazine (Robert Whitaker was also there taking pictures this day). Fleetway Publications owned the copyright and they licensed one of the pics from the session for Beatles VI cover in USA the following year (also same pic used on the Australasian Greatest Hits Vol. 1 LP cover) Whitaker’s shots were used on Beatles 65 LP and Million Sellers EP
