    damn, what a handsome memorial

  2. Kwai Chang says:

    since john is qualified to speak on behalf of nyc…
    let his spirit speak to every heart…everywhere…that life is good
    (as long as history can be learned from)
    Imagine everyone with a common belief
    that no life is insignificant…that all life should be cherished…
    for none can be replaced…
    Peace…everybody

    Nicely written, Kwai!

    One of my favorite photos of J & Y… a sad but beautiful reminder of the tragic losses we suffered in 1980 and then in 2001. It has an eerie foreshadowing about it. And a reminder that we must all work to give peace a chance.

    Peace and love to the victims of 9/11 and to all victims of senseless acts of violence and hatred.

  4. Michael says:

    Been there a few times. Wish I had a pic of myself as good as this one. Fantastic pic!

  5. Kwai Chang says:

    @Cara…
    (wink, wink)

  6. Leah says:

    First off, how did you get a photo with the mosaic without millions of people around!?

  7. Kwai Chang says:

    @Leah…
    an aftershave called “morning breeze”…

  8. Steve in the Bronx says:

    9/11 … a day that will forever stand alone. A day of remembrance, respect and honor for all of the men, women & children that lost their lives and became heroes forevermore. They will live on in our hearts, in our mind & in our prayers.

  11. kavada says:

    Ishie: Yes, 9/11 is a day that will forever stand alone – and the date 9/11-2001 has changed NYC before and after the date. You can se older pictures of Manhattan, or movies from before the attack – the twin towers is something we all SEE on pictures/movies.

    And on the top picture with John & Yoko on a boat, the twin towers wasn’t completed. The year was 1971…

  12. Tammy says:

    Leah, a well timed ‘Mrrrrrrat!!’ by me had the mosaic well and truely cleared for a good five minutes.

    It is a sad reminder of how much hatred there is in the world regarding 9/11/2001 and the murder of John Lennon, 1980 and what is still happening to others today. It is wonderful to remind us to never forget victims of horrendous crimes. The picture of John and Yoko is beautiful. Thanks for posting that beautiful photo of you by the “Imagine mosaic “shrine.
