Here is a photo of Paul with Peggy Lipton who years later would go on to star in ‘Mod Squad’, the above photo was taken in 1964 and Paul obviously had a long memory, or maybe just a longing for Peggy as she was to later have a fling with Paul in LA in 1968, Peggy along with a heap of other girls were shown the door once Linda arrived and the rest as they say is history.

I do like my band t shirts and the one i’ve always wanted recently turned up on ebay, an original ‘Venus and Mars’ promo shirt from 1975 alas it was way too small for me to fit into but i now live in hope that more and in my size may be still out there somewhere.

New McCartney DVD Set for Release ‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’
Features Exclusive Commentary, Behind the Scenes Footage, Over 40 Music Videos and Two Hours of Historic Live Performances; ‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’ Is Set for Release November 13th, 2007

LOS ANGELES, CA–(Marketwire – August 23, 2007) – On November 13th, 2007, ‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’ will hit the stores from MPL/Rhino Entertainment. This first time ever DVD includes the definitive visual collection of Paul McCartney’s amazing career featuring solo music videos, career-spanning live performances, personal commentary by Paul McCartney and exclusive footage that tracks his incredible musical journey as never before.

Spanning four decades, ‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’ is a three volume DVD collection, featuring some of the world’s best-loved music that has become the soundtrack to all our lives.

VOLUME ONE and VOLUME TWO contain the definitive collection of McCartney music videos. Starting in the 1970s with Paul McCartney’s first solo single “Maybe I’m Amazed,” the DVD includes the Wings promo video for “Band On The Run” as well as hits from the 1980s such as “Say Say Say,” and the 1990s with “The World Tonight.” It finishes with 2005’s “Fine Line.” The films can be viewed either in chronological order or as play-lists that have been personally arranged by Paul featuring his exclusive voiceover commentaries.

VOLUME THREE includes live performances taken from three classic McCartney live shows; “ROCKSHOW” filmed on Wings’ 1976 World Tour, new edits of Paul’s seminal “UNPLUGGED” in 1991 and Paul’s now legendary headlining performance at 2004’s GLASTONBURY Festival.

‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’ is also packed with bonus features and extra never before seen footage and performances, including “Let It Be” from LIVE AID, archive interviews with Melvyn Bragg and Michael Parkinson, alternative versions of music videos and the full-length 2005 documentary “Creating Chaos at Abbey Road.” Paul has recorded exclusive commentary and personal introductions for each promo video and each live concert.

This collection has been meticulously restored and all films polished, re-graded and given a new lease on life in Widescreen format with re-mastered stereo audio and for the first time the original recordings re-mixed into 5.1 surround sound. ‘THE McCARTNEY YEARS’ includes over 40 promo videos and over two hours of live performances.

These photo’s have me flumoxed, it looks like the Starclub in Hamburg by the look of the sweaters the boys are wearing and the mic John is singing into looks like a Starclub microphone, but then Johns hair looks really long like 1965! to me it looks like a party and they have grabbed instruments to play around with, i have no idea who’s guitar John is using.

* UPDATE: It turns out the photo’s were taken in Austria during the filming of ‘Help’.

Paul has been spending his usual summer break at his house(s) in East Hampton, Millsy has rented a nearby house so she and Paul can share Beatrice during the break.

Above is what is very probably the last photo of Paul, George and Ringo together, it was taken i believe by Pattie Boyd a few months before George’s passing, it looks to me like early 2001.

Hi everyone, i told you i’d be back and here i am. i want to thank all my blog readers for the many messages of love and support to me during a really sad and scarey time in my life i never realised so many people actually viewed this blog and cared about it, it totally blew me away. Something i’ve learned over the past few weeks is how important friends are, both in person and on line, i’ve made some amazing friends on line over the years and have been lucky enough to meet several of you which has made us even closer friends, so thanks to you all who visited me or sent me emails, the past month has been an amazing time of learning for me, i never knew a person could feel such deep feelings and emotions as i have had to endure, and i know in the long run it is going to make me a lot more compassionate, kind and caring (Thats enough Dr Phil for now) so, now it’s back to the photo’s .. spread the word, The Tingler is back.
