Of course Miss Tammy being the teasing and depraved minx that i am, i’ve kept a few awesome frames in my purse, to keep you waiting, returning .. and maybe even begging :-) i shant keep you in suspense long, or will i? :-) (To quote Willy Wonka ‘The suspense is killing me!, i hope it lasts).

Brilliant quality scans, & another previously unseen frame! As ever, thanks for posting :)

  2. Pete F. says:

There he is Greg, there’s my friend in that last frame! That’s the photo he had printed & got autographed by J&Y a few weeks later. I knew it was from the same day! See the pic you posted and discussion we had on April 14th.

Strangely enough, I spoke to him last night after a few years of being out of touch and I asked him about that signed photograph… he still has it. Btw, he was the one who took the 3 “getting out of the car” photos in this post.

    Cheers :-)

  3. Tammy says:

Hi Pete, yeh i know .. i thought you’d get a surprise :-) i have some more, and i’m *hoping* that they’ll send me some more, i know they took a ton more, i worked on these and fixed them up too.

What can I say? Incredible photos. I absolutely love ‘John-1980’ photos. Very handsome … sexy & attractive!

  5. Joy says:

Even though John wasn’t one of my favorites (George #1) he does look quite good in these photos!

The first one he resembles Rod Stewart a little.

    Thank you for posting these

Did anyone else spot the simularity in the first picture in the sequence above of John getting out of the limo in NY and the 1966 picture of John getting out of the limo in Spain?

It almost appears that John has the same sweater on.

Very cool, Thanks for airing Tammy

I usually think John looks way too thin in 1980 photos but I think he looks great in the first two shots here.

  8. Jennifer says:

Thank you so much for sharing these, they’re all very beautiful. : )

  9. Chelsea says:

I hope I look half as cool at the age of 40 as John did.

  10. Cara says:

Can I have some more, please? Please?! These are just fantastic!!

  11. Lizzie says:

OMG!!!… i had seen 3 of these, but you have them in much better quality. i was on holiday in new york city in the summer of 80, but i didn’t want to bother john, so i didn’t stand outside the dakota or the recording studio. i guess i still have “hanging around trauma” from the late 60’s…

  12. Tammy says:

Miss Tammy still has a few up her sleeve, and i’m ‘hoping’ that i’ll be sent some more, i’ll post the ‘tease’ ones in a couple of days :-)

  13. Chris says:

You can tell John always wore high quality clothes! I wonder where he got them?

  14. Chris says:

Notice the early John Lennon button the guy is wearing on the last photo…

  15. Brandi says:

John in that first pic *swoon*! These are great photos…thank you :)

  16. henry says:

    thanks for these ones.
hey lizzie I don’t understand “i still have “hanging around trauma” from the late 60′s”. was it a trauma for you to meet the four fabs?

  17. Lizzie says:

no henry, not at all, how could it possibly be a trauma to meet your idols? it’s just that once i grew up i realized i had overdone my act of waiting outside the studios and their homes and didn’t want to bother them that way anymore. when you are hanging around, you are told to leave, chased by the police, teased by passers-by – it’s not a very comfortable situation. you might even hear remarks from the boys themselves like “don’t you ever go home?” or specifically by paul (because he lived in the city, he got a lot more fans outside his home than the others) “please don’t hang around, it’s a drag”. when you’re 15, you don’t think much of that, i used to think whatever they said was “cute”, but not when you’re a grown woman, a mother. then you realize it really is a nuisance to have people outside your home day and night. that’s what i meant and i’m sorry i didn’t explain it better.

  18. Lizzie says:

by the way, tammy, i can’t get over how gorgeous these photos are. i had a few them in tiny versions – thank you so much!

These pictures are fantastic. John looks incredibly handsome and very GQ. I totally dig his style in the late 70s/1980 because he seemed to be going for some kind of dapper Englishman look, but still remaining effortlessly original. John was always, and will always remain, the sexiest Beatle to me. Their music matters most, but when I started to notice them I came to love John’s looks the most for many reasons. Thanks for sharing.
